Where have all these asiatic Blacks at Roadside Zoos come from? Were they from inside the country or imports? I certainly hope US Zoos aren't contributing to the wildlife trafficking of Asiatic Black Bears. I know the AZA facilities aren't, but don't know about these other facilities.

They've been here. The species has a long history in US zoos, it's only being phased out of AZA. Not many of the non-AZA zoos have the resources (financial or otherwise) to import bears from Asia, nor, I suspect, would they use those resources to import a species that 99% of the visiting public wouldn't differentiate from a much, much more easily obtained American black bear.

Do you know if any zoos other than Metro Richmond are actively breeding this species? I know they had a few cubs over the years, but are there any other places breeding the species?

What would be your favorite Sun bear exhibit?

Of note is that Zoo Tampa had sloth but replaced them with sun. They also have had black bear's forever, but that area is under a complete renovation right now (as noted in your "2022" statement). The old black bear habitat was OK, but it will be really nice to see what they end up doing with it.
Where did the sloth go ? Wasn’t there sloth an old bear ?

Lions,Tigers and Bears sanctuary in San Diego CA has three asiatic bears
LTaB is not a major zoo it is a private sanctuary.

Edit: I see that you are referring to the holding list. My apologies for not seeing it.

It's too bad the San Diego Zoo never had Black Bears in the 1990s, nor the 2000s and 2010s, because they would have been the only North American Zoo in history to have had all seven species of bear at the same time.
