Any chance of YWP getting a new male tiger at all?
I asked when I did the leopard experience and the ranger said no as they don't have the room with the 2 females not getting along they have to be kept separated so don't have the space to integrate a new male

Sayan is even older than tschuna and I'm sure has never had any offspring.

She was non-breeding but someone told me that with Tschuna's genes becoming well represented Sayan was climbing the list as a possible breeder, but that was a few years ago now and so it seems unlikely.

Do non-related female tigers ever get on well enough to live together?

I haven't ever known non related females to live together. Knowsley had sinda and Bira ho were sisters. Longleat had a trio of sisters. Paradise have a sister pair. Don't know of any others I'm aware of

Anyone have any more updates about the cheetah. Any construction updates and photos?
I visited there today, and I would say that the groundworks are 90% complete. There are entrance/exit paths at each end of the Cheetah reserve, and it's located behind the Smooth Otter and Gelada enclosures and in front of the adjoining woods. The enclosure is large and would appear to give good viewing of the Cheetahs when they finally arrive. It's difficult to get a good overall view of the enclosures at present, but I have attached a panoramic shot to give an idea of the scale

I don't know if this has been covered already but where are the cheetahs coming from, and what subspecies are they likely to be? :)

Is there three seperate areas ?

Maybe could be arriving from colchester, i think they have quite a few.
Not at the moment, the male cub of 2020 moved to Wingham a couple of years ago and the females along with the mother also eventually moved to Port Lympne (?). Currently they still have brothers Abasi and Azzizi who arrived in 2017 or 18 and new female Anika who arrived earlier this year so probably unlikely right now.

Didn’t know the cubs had moved on. My mistake. Only other place that crosses my mind is longleat. How many do they have?

I believe it is dina and not Gina as she was named after Dina asher smith the athlete as we're mo and bolt. I think one of the young females from longleat could move to yorkshire as I think longleat are tight for space and they are trying to breed Rachel with mo or bolt I think. Also might there be one or 2 at fota that might be ready for a new home.

Prior to moving to Yorkshire Wildlife Park, Tschuna lived with Daseep, a female Sumatran tiger, firstly at Wuppertal Zoo before they both moved to Dudley Zoo.
