Is there plans to further expand the group with additional females prior to the opening of the new exhibit?

I believe so, they plan on having three troops for their habitats when it open.
The chimpanzee born at the Knoxville Zoo in April 2022 to the late Binti was named Stevie.
Teetoo at the Kansas City Zoo passed away on October 20.
Snika at at the Montgomery Zoo passed away last year.
Juniper at the Lion Country Safari birthed Lili on January 28.
Another chimpanzee at the North Carolina Zoo was born to first-time mon Genie.
The male chimpanzee born in North Carolina on May 21 is called Gombe. His parents are Gigi and Gus.

The new infant born to Genie is a female too!
With the new baby at North Carolina, the Zoo's troop now consists of 17 chimpanzees; females Gigi (2011), Amy (1983), Ebi (2012), Gari (1977), Genie (2012), Gerre (1999), Ruby (1996), Tammy (1971), Asha (2019) and the new infant; males – Jonathan (1996), Lance (2001), Sokoto (2001), Kendall (1999), Gus (2014), Obi (2019) and Gombe (2023).
Amy’s the mother of Gus and Asha. Gari is the mother of Gerre, Gigi and Gombe. Ebi was born to Tammy. Gerre is the mother of Genie and Obi.

A female named Alizeti (Swahili for sunflower) was born August 20, 2023 to Chuckie. She’s currently being hand raised due to a lack of maternal care and the plan is to have another female within the troop (Sukari) foster her.

It may also interest people to know that TWINS were delivered at Sedgwick County Zoo earlier this year. They were unfortunately stillborn, but an interesting statistical anomaly to report nonetheless.

Sacremento's four chimps have all been sent to different facilities.
Males, Pablo and Dougie, were sent to Kansas City Zoo whereas the females (Amelia and Marie) were sent to an undisclosed facility.
That said facility is apparently eight times the size of Sacremento (so roughly 34 acres or so- for anyone that may know a potential facility of that size).
Sacramento Zoo transfers its remaining chimpanzees to new homes

I know that species management in the USA isn't done by subspecies and all of the chimps are presumably hybridized, but are there any known pure chimps of any subspecies in the USA?
I wonder because I've recently read about how Western chimpanzees are behaviorally different from their Eastern and Central counterparts in many ways and was curious if those behavioral differences were purely 'cultural' practices or if they could interfere with troop dynamics in zoos.
There are a few chimps in my local zoo who definitely have a stereotypical "Western chimp" look about them. One of them is the highest-ranking male, Kasoje. I saw that he was born in the Little Rock Zoo to two wild-born parents and the Little Rock Zoo website lists "Western Chimpanzee" among the animals they exhibit. Do we think any of those chimps are legit Western chimpanzees (and do we know where Kasoje's parents, Richard and Judy, were captured from?) or is it just like zoos labeling generic tigers as Bengal?

I believe they're down to two females (Cookie and Sally).
