Best Colobus enclosure in the Benelux

This is just a bit of fun to judge the general consensus on the best enclosure for Colobuses in the Benelux. I have added a few photos from the gallery to make it easier for members to compare the different exhibits. If anyone wants to make an argument for a particular enclosure, please feel free to do so. Also, I would encourage people to list the enclosures in order of what they think is best.

Sorry I will not be make the Rotterdam zoo review since my whole post got deleted somehow. I’ll still post photos of it though.

The colobus at Apenheul are kept with the talapoins in the new walkthrough area which Mr Gharial posted photos of earlier this year.

The colobus at Ouwehands are kept with the gorillas instead of Roloway guenons which moved to another exhibit in the zoo, I'm sure there are photos of the gorilla exhibit in the gallery.

I originally voted for Beekse Bergen as the large, mixed-species exhibit with Gorillas and Colobus is terrific, but the brand-new Colobus/Talapoin walk-through area at Apenheul looks very impressive and now gets my vote.

Personally I think Apenheul has the best one, followed by Ouwehands and Beekse Bergen. I just think mixing species can be nice, however Gorillas have killed colobuses in the past. Design wise there are challenges because colobuses are way more arboreal. So Apenheul takes it for me. But I think Ouwehands is supper underrated.

Score update. Apenheul are in the lead. The new enclosure seems to be pretty good for them.

Poll closed. Congratulations to Apenheul for having the Best Colobus enclosure in the Benelux. The brand-new walkthrough area for the monkeys gave them an easy win. This is now their third win.

Yes. I’m planning on doing these in other countries. It’s already been done in the UK.
