Thanks for this list. There's less species than I would have anticipated, but I enjoyed both my visits to Great Plains Zoo (2012, 2018) and I have a soft spot for this establishment.

You're Welcome! I too was surprised by the lack of species. I always assumed there was more species, but I guess not, although the upcoming merger with the Butterfly House & Aquarium will likely change this. I've been going to Great Plains since 2015 and I feel similarly. Its a very charming small zoo an its exciting to watch this place grow.
Did the "Tropical Birds" Building used to have tropical birds? :p Because as it stands now that's a bit of a misnomer.
at one point it sort-of did, but not really anymore. I don't think that's what the building called anymore, but there isn't a name for it now, so I just used the old name.
