United Kingdom Penscynor Wildlife Park

I almost visited this place, but on the day I intended to go the weather was very poor. I never managed to visit it.
 
This park received the group of Sooty Mangabeys from ZSL. When it closed down they seemed to just disappear without any trace....

I wonder if they went to Newquay. They certainly had the species around that time

I seem to recall that the Newquay animals - an elderly pair, I think - came from Manor House Zoo, and that (despite the proximity of this collection to Penscynor) these were entirely different animals to the ones in question. Given the fact multiple captive holdings of the species seem to have been phased out over the course of the 1990s, I would unfortunately not be surprised if Penscynor were unable to find a new home for the mangabeys and that they were PTS.

....which is what I suspect happened to them also.:(
