Last April 26th Valencia received female striped hyena Andi borned in La Haute-Touche (France) April 27th 2022. She joined a male to form a breeding pair.
Not sure but I beleive this is a new species for Valencia (Zootierliste does not list it).

They’re a new species. I wonder what exhibit they’re being kept in?
I'm guessing the spotted hyena exhibit, I don't know where else they could be housed otherwise. Maybe they phased the spotted hyenas out or they will be in a rotational exhibit with them, I really doubt they built anything new.

New individuals:
- A pair of Northern warthogs (Phacochoerus africanus africanus) have arrived to the Bioparc from Zoo Zlín and Zoo Osnabrück.
The female arriving from Germany is called Kwini and is 15 months old, and the new Czech hog is two years old and called Zacarías. They will join the park's current warthog group, which are considerably older than the new individuals.

We have a response to this.
A male Striped hyena (Hyaena hyaena) called Max arrived from Zoo du Bassin d'Arcachon, and later on, a female named "Hardy" (Or at least that's what I understood from the video) from Haute-Touche. They are being adapted to the outdoor enclosure and have already been introduced to each other.
Valencia is for now home to an old female spotted hyena called Etana. The striped hyenas will soon be displayed outdoors rotating with Etana.

Recently 5-year old female Southern white rhinoceros (Ceratotherium simum simum) Amy arrived from a zoo in Sweden. The zoo now has 1.2 white rhinos.

Coming from Barcelona!
No cheetahs, the main ABC collection has been kept pretty unchanged since the opening of the park.
