Across the years, the Mandai parks have housed multiple species which are no longer here today, either off-display or gone. Here I try to compile them into a list, at least the major ones I remember or from references like maps with a rough approximation of when they left. An * represents a species that is still housed in another Mandai facility. Po = phased out

I also included species that could be off-show as former species, I am aware that they have a huge off show collection but didn't realise they still have so many of them. I hope the flying squirrels go back on display.

Aside from species still kept in Night Safari or used in theirs and the Bird Park's shows, what else was kept in the World of Darkness area?

You’re missing out the North Island Brown Kiwi (they even managed to hatch one if I’m not wrong). And again from New Zealand, there used to be Kea.

Vietnamese Mossy Frog are present in the frog breeding room at Reptopia. Likewise, Giant Water Bug are still found in the butterfly breeding room of Fragile Forest.

You can add Gorillas to that list for the zoo, along with Mugger Crocodile, Common Raccoon

Night Safari had Sunda Clouded Leopard, Yellow-throated Marten, Owston’s Palm Civet, Asian Golden Cat, and Eastern Timber Wolf.

There are a lot of really cool fish, some that would benefit from a facility like Mandai to aid in breeding efforts, that have gone over the years, which stinks to me. Canara Pearlspots, Jelly Catfish, Pacman Catfish, Orange-spotted Snakehead, Mbu Puffer, Suttonorum Blue-eyed Pleco, Largemouth Bass, Mandarin Perch, Aba Knifefish, Congochromis sabinae, Keyhole Cichlid, Saratoga, Hasselt’s Bamboo Shark, and probably a lot more. It seems that the fish collection plan is comprising of mostly common aquarium species.
 
Forgot about the gorillas somehow, when were they in the zoo? Also need to add the hooded vulture, the last one, a female was sent to Europe I think

- the great white pelicans that were formerly housed at night safari, currently were housed in singapore zoo's gibbon island
- the elephant trunk snakes that were formerly housed at river wonders, currently housed at singapore zoo's reptopia
- the north american beaver are currently used as once upon in a river show in river wonders

The sugar glider went onshow recently in the Night Safari.
