Trends in zoos by decade

The year is 2023 AD. The zoo world is entirely occupied by uniform same species collections. Well, not entirely... One small Austrian zoo of indomitable toxic critters still holds out against the invaders. And life is not easy for the EAZA legionaries who garrison the fortified camps of Hellbrunn, Hellabrunn and Schönbrunn...
Let's see who of the Non-European ZooChatters will get the reference
:D:D:D
And kudos to the equally indomitable Czech, Polish and small German zoos.;)
Aren't you referring to your venomous snake zoo, WdG?

I’ve noticed some zoos seem to be forgoing 100% naturalistic habitat designs that tried to hide all manmade structures and show animals as if they were in the wild in favor of habitats that put the behind the scenes infrastructure on display for guests to see animal care in action.

And you might have to excuse my French(sic), but there's a bit more to WdG than just being a "venomous snake zoo"...
Yes, I apologize to your inverts, heloderms, and other fascinating toxic critters for forgetting them in that post.

Well, it's not just critters; we've got poisonous plants, mushrooms, various toxic microbs, organical and nonorganical poisonous substances and all kinds of other exponats associated with the topic. Hence the membership in the local museum association. The venomous critters are just the shills...
