Hello! The lighting is synchronized with the current summer season of the Antarctic so you will get to see them in perfect light 24 hour a day light. Have fun and enjoy yourself! I would recommend going to do the rides as you as you get there and then spend the rest of the day with the animals to avoid lines the best.I am going to visit Seaworld San Diego this December. Can anyone tell me what kind of lighting is it in the penguin exhibit, particularly the emporer pengiuns. SeaWorld California currently has 2 (1.1) Guadalupe Fur Seals. Female is Chickaree and was a non-releasable strand from 2021. Male (unknown name) is a non-releasable strand from 2015. I am uncertain if they are in animal care, BTS at Wild Artic, or at SeaLion Point.Do SeaWorld San Diego still keep Guadalupe fur seals? zooinstitutes lists them on the site but it has not been updated since 2014. Also what other pinnipeds are currently kept at SeaWorld as the website says sea lion point is home to both sea lions and seals without naming specific species.

Hello! The park currently keeps California Sea Lion, Pacific Harbor Seal, Ringed Seal, Guadalupe Fur Seal, Pacific Walrus, and Northern Elephant Seal. There is female Guadalupe Fur Seal located at Sea Lion Point along with the California Sea Lion and Pacific Harbor Seal. There is also almost always fur seals in the rescue center as they are species that will often become stranded from their mothers. Sea Lion Spotlight is just home to California Sea Lion. Meanwhile the old Polar Bear enclosure in Wild Arctic is home to a male Ringed Seal and two female Harbor Seals. This section of the park is also home to the walrus. There is currently one female elephant seal at SeaWorld who was a rescue but deemed unreleasable and she currently lives behind the scenes in her own enclosure. The female emperor penguin chick has been named Peral by public vote. She is currently off-display and will join the main colony in January, 2024. Currently visitors are able to see her behind-the-scenes through VIP tours.
