River Wonders Singapore River Safari

If I recall correctly the netting of the aviary is damaged. There are plans to replace the netting but other spending needs have taken precedence.
Said aviary now houses monkeys since a long time ago.
Another thing, the greater flamingo exhibit on the Amazon River Quest boat ride also holds a grey crowned crane. They seem to be scrapping geographical accuracy now:(

River Wonder's only Chinese Giant Salamander is gone. Not sure if he died or was exported. The exhibit now houses Chinese High Fin Banded Shark.

A real shame. Hope they are able to import another salamander soon

notable updates from today's trip:

1. didnt see Spur-winged Goose(Mekong aviary) and African Pike(Nile). are they still in the collection?

2. saw a flock of American White Ibis in Amazonian Encounters, as well as Elongated Tortoise and Black Marsh Turtle in the juvie False Gharial exhibit. have they always been there?

3. looks like the piranha population has shrunk. i saw only 3 individuals in the tank

according to mandai's insta, Jia Jia has been showing avoidance behaviours towards Le Le(eg. chasing him away) since last month.

so both of them are now fully seperated and time-share their enclosure. Le Le from 10am-2pm and Jia Jia from 2pm-6pm.

I saw the Ibises at the time of my visit in mid-October.

i've seen comments on mandai's insta saying that Keta the red panda had died sometime before september. can someone verify?

is there any specific posts where this was mentioned in the comments?

It would be quite sad news if so as she is/was only eight years of age.

Not sure it has been mentioned here but today, I noticed the exhibit where the Coatimundis were housed in are now occupied by three species of Tamarins: Cotton Lion, White-Lipped, and one other species I forgot.

Are there any plans to rejuvenate the Amazon River Quest enclosures? As in my opinion they're on the smaller side and they are fairly far away from the boat channel.
Also are there any plans on building a new beaver habitat, as it would be a great update/attraction for the Mississippi section.
