Seeing my first northern lapwing of the year today.

Receiving a new interesting book ("The Smithsonian Atlas of the Amazon" by Michael Goulding, Ronaldo Barthem and Efrem Ferreira).

Yesterday on my way to the doctor I saw a Eurasian jay, my favorite native bird. That did give me small moment of joy in the otherwise crappy day that was yesterday.

Thanks in large part to medication and therapy I have been dealing relatively well with all the crappy stuff that I've been experiencing lately, and I am thinking a lot more in terms of solutions for problems rather than panicking and getting angry.
 
Running into friends at the zoo! Even with my small town being almost two hours away, Henry Doorly a very popular attraction, and I often see people I know when visiting. Just today I ran into my friend and his boyfriend!
 
Watching videos of my great grandfather and my great great uncle’s and aunts and also my dad and uncle when they were little and also seeing my grandmothers cousins especially the ones that I haven’t met yet and the ones that have passed on and also hearing funny stories about my wild uncle Jake and his son Tom and his rascal brother Jim and cousins Harold, Doug, Ted and my great grandfather Brady aka Joe.

I always thought Forky from Toy Story 4 was worse. He felt extremely shoehorned in, created an unnecessary plot (which in turn created an unnecessary movie), and he took away screen time that should have been devoted to Toy Story's already beloved and charismatic cast of character like Rex, Ham, the Potato Heads, and other characters who had little to no dialogue and were pushed aside for pretty much teh entirety of the film. Plus it felt like Forky was being forced into our faces as though they wanted him to be a beloved character (even though they already had so many to deal with), whereas I didn't feel Bing Bong took away from the film, and for once might actually have been necessary to the plot rather than being an unnecessary comedic relief.

Seeing other people who used to be the type to say "Cheetahs and leopards are the same thing" become in love with animals, and actually say "Zoos should list the subspecies of animals".
