Does anyone know why they are not housing any species in the old grey seal exhibit and the old bear exhibit???It would appear these renovations are being done in response to a July 25 USDA Inspection:

Next to that peccary .Excuse my ignorance but where is the current addax exhibit?
Some updates from my visit today:
What was in that round house next to the painted dogs ?
- A male Kikuyu colobus monkey was born on Tuesday morning to mother Fiona and can be seen in the exhibit with his mother and the other monkeys. Information on the birth date and identity of the mother is per the keeper I saw at the exhibit.
- An Addax sign has been put on the exhibit to the left of the ostrich exhibit on the outer road. I do not know if there will now be 2 addax exhibits in 2 different parts of the zoo or if they'll be moving them to this new space.
- The roundhouse with the red-crowned mangabey and golden-cheeked gibbons is now closed off for construction.
- The ring-tailed lemurs are now off exhibit in African primates. It appears they'll be temporarily moved to the former fossa habitat as the "not a pet" signage featuring a ring-tailed lemur has been moved to that space.
- The roundhouse next to the African painted dog exhibit appears to be getting converted into some sort of educational space. What had been exhibit fencing has been covered with a printed backdrop, so there won't be any animals in there, at least for now.

Are the red-capped mangabeys still visible at all?
They only have one left, Valentina. She wasn't visible on Sunday but my understanding from a conversation with a keeper is that she'll be visible elsewhere in the zoo.
Are red capped mangabeys rare in American zoos?
What was in that exhibit before ?Also it looks like the roundhouse by the African wild dogs is being renovated and might finally have inhabitants in it.
Female otter to be sent / already transferred to Argentina to Sendero del Ibera protected landscape. To be sent up there with a direct plan and arrival at the reserve to pair up with a counerpart. Well done all. It’s so sad to see the passing of Bajo the Giant Otter… They’re all so dynamic and always engaging. It does seem like the zoo will be left with a sole female otter for the meanwhile![]()
