Hi, I am a keeper of several species of small exotic rodents in the South east of England and was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of institutions with Brandt's voles, Lasiopodomys brandtii, as I am seeking husbandry information for my own colony. I am already aware of Cannon Hall Farm and have reached out to them, but are there any others in the UK I could visit, or in English-speaking countries abroad who wouldn't mind being contacted?
Thanks in advance for any responses :0)

Plzen has them. I would imagine that they would be receptive to giving advice.

According to ZTL, this species is kept in 8 European zoos.
Apart from Plzen and Cannon Hall Farm.
This specis is also kept in Germany (Allwetterzoo Münster, Tierpark Riesa, Tiergarten Schönebeck), Czech Republic (Liberec Zoo and Praha Zoo) and Switzerland (Johns kleine Farm).

So you could also try to reach out to these zoos.

Plzen´s long-term curator of small mammals left. The zoo tries to hire a new small mammals keeper (job opening got published yesterday, they look for somebody who can jump in after Christmas). It might prove difficult to get reply on such request.
