Species and orders/families/genera I'd like to see more (in UK):
- Echidnas (more than happy with short-beaked, but long-beaked would be amazing)
- Tree-kangaroos
- Honey badgers
- Shoebills
- Japanese macaques
- Virginia opossums (they are gremlins and I love them)
- Wombats
- Malagasy carnivorans, particularly Fossas
- Small cats, such as Fishing cats
- Bears
- Hippopotamuses (as long as UK enclosure design gets better)
- Tuatara
- Bonobos
- Glass frogs
- Giant Salamanders
- Chimera sharks
- Octopi
Species and orders/families/genera I'd like to see (re)enter captivity in UK:
- Coconut crabs (please let me know if they're in UK, ZT doesn't have inverts)
- Platypodes
- Tasmanian devils
- Vampire bats
- Pangolins
- Cetaceans (definitely not happening with how the public views cetacean captivity but hopefully improvements in enclosures and care, like what is being done in Iceland can help change that opinion)
- Walruses
- Sirenians
- Gerenuk
- Hummingbirds
- Harpy eagles
- Philippine eagles
- Gharial
Species and orders/families/genera I'd like to see (re)enter captivity in general:
- Streaked tenrecs (I held what I believe was a Lowland streaked tenrec (though may have been Highland) at a keeper experience before they disappeared from captivity. I wish I had a photo.)
- Moles
- Colugos
- Hoatzins
- Potoos
- Marine iguanas (ignoring CTC Conservation Centre due to dubious legality)
