Are there any red necked grebes in captivity?
They are very rare. To my understanding, only famous amphibian breeder Evgeny Ryboltovsky from Russia has this species. I believe he managed to reproduce them as well. No animals in a zoo.Are there Mexican Burrowing Toads kept in captivity?
The Audubon Insectarium may have them. Were colorful spiny orb-web spiders Gasteracantha and Micrathena ever shown in zoos? Are they difficult to keep / breed?

Shenyang Forest Zoological Garden,They have 10 ibis.Does any zoo house Oriental Crested Ibis (Nipponia nippon)? I searched ZooChat and found that Beijing Zoo housed them in 2013, but do they still? I also saw mentions of reintroduced populations?

There seems to be more zoos in China popping up with crested ibis, I think some new ones also have them. (Xi'an? Wuhan? idk i dont remember but there are some more)Shenyang Forest Zoological Garden,They have 10 ibis.
Did the earthquake in January had any effect on the population and/or those facilities?Yes, there are reintroduced populations in Sado Island in Japan, with some individuals crossing over to mainland Honshu. Currently Ishikawa Zoo holds the Ibis, but there are other conservation and breeding centers in Japan such as the crested ibis decentralized breeding center in Izumo, crested ibis decentralized breeding center in Nagaoka, and Sado Japanese Crested Ibis Conservation Center Station for Crested Ibis to return to the wild Toki Fureai Plaza. Tama zoo in Tokyo holds the ibis bts, however I heard that there is a chance that they will exhibit them in the near future.
I remember there was a display of Crested Ibis at the Qinhuangdao Safari Park. There seems to be more zoos in China popping up with crested ibis, I think some new ones also have them. (Xi'an? Wuhan? idk i dont remember but there are some more)
But the Wuhan Zoo doesn't seem to have any ibis on display. There seems to be more zoos in China popping up with crested ibis, I think some new ones also have them. (Xi'an? Wuhan? idk i dont remember but there are some more)
