Wildwood has updated their map for the year. New animal exhibits for 2015 include flamingos, a new lemur area, and something called a grison.

This map is the first time I've actually even heard of a grison - apparently it's some species of mustelid from South America. What other zoos keep them (if they do)?

it looks like a streamlined fast skunk or weasel.

Has anyone visited Wildwood Wildlife Park recently? I was doing a little digging into their new exhibits and I'm very surprised. Gibbons, paca, some other primates, and even penguins have joined the ranks of Wildwood.
I've visited the zoo twice, but it's been a several years since my last. From photos I've seen online, the new exhibits are actually fairly nice. (Most of the zoo's old exhibits are outdated, with many of them be quite terrible for the animals in them.)

Wildwood has welcomed their first Giraffe calf in their history. It’s a boy, and he’s been named Taji.

I went here for the first time today. A few updates:
- A Dall Sheep was born.
- Two Aoudads were born.
- A White-handed Gibbon was born.
- A DeBrazza's Monkey was born.
- Full species list will be posted soon (and maybe a review?)
I'd love to see a species list. I haven't been there in years. It says on their map that they now have snow leopards?

A brand new small mammal house opened a few months ago.
Any idea on the inhabitants? Many interesting species floating around non-AZA, as I was well reminded from my visit to Wildlife World last month.
From what I've seen, is it fair to equate Wildwood as the northern counterpart to Wildlife World? Other than WW, I don't think there have been more than a handful of new small mammal houses in the last two decades. Is there a reasonable expectation that this new house could have a higher standard of exhibitry?
I would say Wildlife World and Wildwood WP are very comparable in many ways, including in size and collection. No idea of the inhabitants of this new house, I'll be living up in area in a few months (actually an hour away but about as close as you can get to this place
) and I'll try to swing around then and see.Not sure if Wildwood WP *still* has any (or at least very many) horrible exhibits. When I visited several years ago there were plenty of bad exhibits but also plenty of really good or even amazing ones. Even then though, a lot of the zoo was under construction and many of those bad exhibits I am sure are now gone.I don't know much about Wildlife World, but if it is a zoo that has some horrible exhibits, then they may be similar.
I haven't been there in many years, but when I mention bad exhibits, I am referring to the small cages under that pavilion (located near that open rabbit platform), the wolf exhibit, some of the cat exhibits, etc.
My visit was well before the safari portion or any of that was constructed.
