How Many Carnivore Taxa Have You Seen?

I'm surprised you haven't seen a binturong (which would be Viverridae). Multiple zoos you've visited (Staten Island, Roger Williams, etc.) keep this species.
I have seen Binturong several times and I swear I had it on my list, I have indeed seen it at 4 facilities (Roger Williams, Staten Island, Columbus, and Smithsonian)

Since I started documenting what I see at zoos:
Felidae: 11

Inspired heavily by @Neil chace 's similar thread regarding primates, in which I surprised myself by realising that I have seen 85 species, I began to wonder how my carnivore total compares. Equally, I began to wonder how many carnivore species other ZooChat members have seen, so decided to start a similar thread of my own.
My list of carnivores, featuring 129 taxa, follows; I expect I've forgotten a few.

I saw Allen's olingo at Kilverstone (a now closed UK zoo that specialised in South American animals).
Yes, least weasel (normally just called weasel in England) and Chinese ferret badger at London Zoo.

I never thought I would be able to say this, given how well-travelled you are, but I have seen a species that you have not, the Grandidier’s Vontsira! :D Although in saying that I am very nervous that you have seen one and merely forgot to put it on your list, with this post serving as a reminder to do so! :p Other than that your list is incredible and puts mine to shame - 11 pinniped species in particular makes me very jealous. I am assuming that you have seen Brown and Spectacled Bears and simply forgot to include them?

I envy you seeing Grandidier's "mongoose"; I've not done so yet but hopefully I'll rectify that this year.

I'm confused by your comments about brown and spectacled bears; both feature on my original list.

Now that you mention it, I am confused as well, as they are indeed on your list. Not sure what I was thinking when I wrote that, but most likely is that I was looking at another member's list and confusing it for your own. Best of luck with seeing the vontsira over the next year! :)

Always nice to see the ZooChaters lists of one of the most beloved mammal families. Thank you @Kalaw ! If I am not mistaken, I am on 134. If we count domestics 137.
