On February 15th, it was announced that the zoo transferred a (1.0) common wallaroo to the San Francisco Zoo in California on January 16th.

On February 22nd, the zoo announced they acquired a (0.1) generic tiger from the California Department of Fish & Wildlife who rescued the tiger from an unspecified facility in the western United States.

The 14 American Bison have arrived at Montana 2 days ago. Blackfeet Nation will be taking care of them. 9 bison are left in Oakland Zoo, when they are old enough they will be leaving. There is a total of 38 bison that was released back to Blackfeet Nation

Onced she arrived there, she was renamed to Cleo because there was once a tiger named Lily at PAWS.

It is nice the herd continueing to grow and provide further Fx calves for the Iinniii Initiative project of the Blackfeet Nation.

Small redress for a totally ignored, conveniently forgotten deepest black stained part of North American true history, yet a very important step in restoring the balance in the prairie ecosytems of the central and northern part of the USA.
