Hello guys does anybody have news from Aninalia Park?
Our crew has everything planned for a long time. It's important to say that both transferences are part of the Gorilla EEP ruled by EAZA, from which BH zoo is part. This week, we prepared lots of enrichment both for the males, who are already separated (except for Leon, who will be with the females until the day of the transference) and for the rest of the group, in order to ensure animal welfare during the whole process, minimizing the stress and other feelings related to separation.hey guys, breaking news!! the male gorillas from bh zoo will be moving to the animalia park. Also a new male named bubu will be coming to the bh zoo in a few months, and he's coming from hungary.
Angola, import of for deals? Not Namibia? This is a new species. If I recall correctly, Animália Park imported one from Germany and a couple more from Angola.

Enzo? You were talking about the South African fur seal? Do you have additional information as to where the other seals came from in Angola (I was surprised there as I would have thought Namibia or something)?Angola, import of for deals? Not Namibia?
As for gorilla imports. The Cotia zoo is developping nicely.
@DAVID, the Cotia Zoo will serve as a bachelor male group, including the old breeding silverback? And your Belo Horizonte Zoologico will receive a new breeding male for the females at the Belo Horizonte breeding group... Right?A zebra was born there too, on the same day the gorillas became visible to the public.
I have some information about the new male Bubu BHZ will receive from Hungary.hey guys, breaking news!! the male gorillas from bh zoo will be moving to the animalia park. Also a new male named bubu will be coming to the bh zoo in a few months, and he's coming from hungary.
yeah, i've seen this in the ana maria show.A zebra was born there too, on the same day the gorillas became visible to the public.
Hello, Kifaru. Indeed, I was talking about the fur seals, but I'm sorry to inform you I know no more details about their import. All I know is they came from Angola, at least according to CITES.Enzo? I appreciate all your efforts!

I have some information about the new male Bubu BHZ will receive from Hungary.
Male Bubu was born at Howlettts in the UK (27/08/1997). He was transferred to Sosto Zoo in Nyiregyhaza in June 2010. He has a good genetic background, but not yet has sired any offspring. I suppose he is a good match with the BHZ females.
The only individual listed on CITES as being imported into Brazil was a single animal from Germany.Hello, Kifaru. Indeed, I was talking about the fur seals, but I'm sorry to inform you I know no more details about their import. All I know is they came from Angola, at least according to CITES.
CITES has literally hundreds of fur seals being imported live into China from Angola and Anguilla, which seems suspiciously like dodgy paperwork.Angola, import of for deals? Not Namibia?
Estemado @Chlidonias, I had a not dissimilar hunch in thinking that Angola is not - to the best of my knowledge - a range country for South African fur seals and it might be a wildlife trade network route for export. I did not even bother to check up on CITES or the Traffic Wildlife Trade database network yet before our Brasileiro ZC forumster Enzo posted his confirmation. I will look into it further later today. The only individual listed on CITES as being imported into Brazil was a single animal from Germany.

Anyhow, I do applaud the positive change that the new park Cotia brings to the Brazilian zoo scene.
