They do not preform in the Sea Lion and Otter Spotlight unlike Slowpoke. There a quite a few holding pens back there that contain the sea lions, otters, walrus, harbor seals, and the elephant seal.

I assume the elephant seal is a rescue. Is there any opportunity to see this animal or is it only behind the scenes?

The elephant seal arrived from SeaWorld San Diego earlier this year but is currently off-display. There are plans to incorporate her into the Sea Lion show later on in the year but I'm unsure how the training is going.

Looking at the population list even with the loss of the Canadian facilities and deaths over the past year the population is looking like it is in a pretty good state for the future surprisingly. With the walrus breeding season approaching hopefully ChouChou will become pregnant during her first winter in Orlando which would be great news if there could be a calf on the ground next Spring. Then in a few years time once the famous Garfield sadly passes away Orlando can bring in a new male to breed with Kora, Ukiaq, and any calves that ChouChou has which would be great news for the population. Also worth noting is the Abu Dhabi walrus' are managed in same population as North America providing another holder and breeding facility to the program which has been desperately needed.
