Adventure World Adventure world wakayama

Do you guys believe that Adventure World is the only zoo in Japan with an aquarium? The website claims that it has an aquarium, though there are no instances of fish tanks on the website. The only marine animals it really keeps are orcas, dolphins, false killer whales, pinnipeds and penguins, and I haven't seen any images of the zoo keeping fish or other sea creatures.

Also, to make a correction, Adventure World doesn't keep orcas anymore, last one passed away on 2005.

Hi

It depends on how you define "aquarium", but there are other zoos in Japan with an aquarium.

Here are some examples:
Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens
-Over 50 fish tanks, polar bear, seal, sea lion, penguin
Kiryugaoka Zoo
-Over 20 fish tanks, penguin
Atagawa Tropical & Alligator Garden
-A few fish tanks, tanks with alligators and manatee

Adventure World does not have fish tanks, but has dolphins, seals, sea lions, and penguins.
I think you can call that an aquarium.

I also found another one, Adachi Park of Living Things. It has a full aquarium, with reef fish, eels and even sharks. The place also has a petting zoo and a reptile house, as it's designed to be a place dedicated to biological diversity

Yep, that's a nice place!
Been there many times. It's well balanced and managed.

Why did Emperor Penguins disappear from European zoos and aquariums?

High mortality of initialy brought birds, no births and no interest in new imports.

Even king penguins future looked bleak in Europe just a decade or so ago, despite existence of EEP. But major reshufling / consolidation of population between holders to get more viable breeding groups has helped and Europe is self-sustaining in this species now. (number of holding zoos decreased to create bigger groups, unsexed birds were tested, viable females got transfered into breeding situations).

The baby emperor has moved to the rearing nursery being raised a mated pair of adult emperors.
I also think that Chimelong Ocean Kingdom has recently had two emperor chicks born, is this correct?
