On August 10th, the zoo announced they sexed the zebra as (0.1) and named Ahsoka.

On September 18th, the zoo announced that a (1.0) mantled guereza was born on August 30th which is on exhibit. It was later named Auggi.

On November 2nd, the zoo announced that a (0.1) generic giraffe named Amani was born on September 6th which is on exhibit.

On February 7th, the zoo announced they moved a (1.0) Himalayan red panda Tushar off display due to being retired from the breeding program.

On March 24th, the zoo announced they transferred a (1.0) dingo named Yengo to the Toledo Zoo & Aquarium in Ohio.

According to a USDA inspection report dated to 4/17/2025, this facility is home to a single Przewalski's horse.

Has anyone who recently visited confirm if this is actually the case or not?

Binder Park has not had Przewalski's Horses on exhibit since 2020, when the new Mexican Wolf exhibit took over their exhibit. Any remaining individuals are behind the scenes, not on display.
 
Heading to this zoo sometime this week. How much time is recommended here? It looks to be 433 acres according to multiple sources, which is bigger than anywhere I've done so far, but I've seen two sources call it a "small zoo" and clearly some of the enclosures are larger. We were hoping to visit on our way to our destination tomorrow but considering putting it off to another day if it's going to take a full day.

To see everything, I’d do maybe 3 hours? Bear in mind a lot of that will simply be walking around Wild Africa, and between it and the main zoo if you choose not to take the tram.

I would agree, you're looking at most likely 3 hours give or take depending on your pace. The 433 acres is extremely misleading, because so much of that is undeveloped woods. The collection size is actually pretty comparable to nearby Potter Park, which is a 20-acre zoo, hence why Binder Park could be called a "small zoo". Hope you enjoy your visit!
 
Thanks for the advice everyone! We actually covered all of the facility in only 2.5 hours after a travel delay and me not realizing when the time zone shifted. I saw the baby lemur, baby zebra and the mother red panda's ears and had a good look at active cherry-crowned mangabey, although some of the African species were hiding - no cheetah, giraffe, gazelle, bontebok, blue duiker, or black crested mangabey. Al the tortoise and the reticulated python were impressive specimens, too! I'm considering trying to sneak in a second trip later this week to see if I have better luck with any of these.

My dad talked to a keeper who stated that the other dingo died and the remaining individual (presumably Yengo) was sent off. We were told a different facility from that in the thread, which I assume was a keeper error.
