What are the best zoos East of Prague and west of Singapore

What are some of the best zoos located between East of Prague and The West Singapore? I'm curious to know about the top zoos in this region, which often seems to be overlooked in discussions.

does not seem like very much talked about region

Even where European collections are concerned alone, I suspect you are very much underestimating how far west Prague actually *is*.

The area to the east of Prague contains such highly obscure zoo cities as Vienna, Zagreb, Budapest, Wroclaw and Helsinki, to name but a few :p:D;)

Hello. Besides the cities mentioned by @TeaLovingDave, there are still plenty of notable zoos East of Prague and West of Singapore.
- Norway: Bardu (Polar Park);
- Sweden: Norrkoping (Kolmarden);
- Finland: Ahtari (the only place with giant pandas in Scandinavia);
- Czechia: Brno, Chleby, Dvur Králové (the only place with African elephants and okapis in Czechia), Hluboká, Liberec, Olomouc, Ostrava, Zlín;
- Poland: Chorzow, Lodz, Warsaw (known for its historical importance);
- Hungary: Nyíregyháza (Sóstó zoo);
- Bulgaria: Sofia;
- Estonia: Tallinn;
- Ukraine: Askaniya Nova;
- Russia: Moscow;
- Slovenia: Ljubljana;
- Serbia: Subotica (Palić Zoo);
- Greece: Spata (Attica zoo);
- Cyprus: Pafos;
- Turkey: Gaziantep (one of the few places with elephants in Turkey);
- Israel: Jerusalem, Tel Aviv-Ramat-Gan;
- UAE: Dubai, Sharjah;
- India: New Delhi, Mysore, Jamnagar (Vantara);
- Thailand: Chiang Mai;
- Egypt: Cairo, Alexandria, Giza;
- South Africa: Pretoria, Johannesburg, Durban (uShaka Marine World);
- Madagascar: Antananarivo (Tsimbazaza zoo).

I would instead ask what would be the best zoos South of Singapore. That'd surely be harder to answer.

Isn't this more of a wildlife reserve? And last I heard it doesn't really exist anymore?
Indeed, it is more of a nature preserve, but there are many animals not native to Ukraine there, like Cape buffalo and sitatunga. Also, that's really sad; I thought they were still going...

While Askania-Nova is primarily a nature reserve, it's also something of a safari park. Many rare and unusual herbivores have been bred there, for example: It figures super prominently in the history of the Przewalski's horse!

It also has a traditional zoo on its grounds.

Or at least, it used to. :( Since the war with Ukraine began, Russian soldiers have been looting it. Alternating between sending the animals to Russian zoos and shooting them. It's also been burnt down, flooded, and had heavy machinery driven over it.

Askania-Nova's director insists that the reserve hasn't ceased to be, though.
