The zoo has these epecies on recent website / SNS but are no longer here:

Nancy Ma's Night Monkey (Aotus nancymaae)
- Breeding until last year, but now gone
Several snake species
- No snakes on exhibit
Several parrot species
- Only Budgerigar and Cockatiel on exhibit
Otter
- Species unknown, now gone
Nilgai (Boselaphus tragocamelus)

The zoo has a small but interesting good collection, including those that can probably be seen nowhere else in Malaysia.

The list is based on the signs and personal observations, but since the zoos has almost no signs, there might be some misidentified or missing species. I am probably missing a few passerine species which I could not clearly see and identify.

Thanks for the list. It appears that this zoo offers up a lot of 'petting' opportunities, although their website isn't exactly packed with information. Sumatran Bamboo Rat and Javan Ferret-badger certainly raise an eyebrow!

Yes, I totally agree with that.
It's a common issue with most small Malaysian zoos, but they really don't have information online.

They have great species, so should be able to attract more people if they improve the website, and of course, their animal housing environment.

I was talking with the manager of this zoo today.
Unfortunately, they recently lost the Javan Ferret-badger (Melogale orientalis).

Zoo Lipis in Pahang, which is operated by the same animal trading company, apparently held the species until recently, but lost it too.

There are no more zoos known to hold this species in Malaysia.
