On August 14th, the zoo announced they acquired (0.2) Panamanian golden frogs on August 13th which are on display in the Corcovado Jungle area.

On September 9th, the zoo announced they acquired a (0.1) Virginia opossum named Manuka after it was deemed unreleasable in the wild which is an ambassador animal.

On October 29th, it was reported that the zoo is planning on building a new animal hospital on the site of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga's Softball Team Center which will begin by early November 2026.
