They also have East African Grey Crowned Crane in the Savannah section, as well as Florida Sandhill Crane at their Whooping Crane breeding facility.
 
On July 5th, the zoo announced that 3 rock hyraxes were born on July 3rd which are now on display in the African Savannah area.

On May 10th, the zoo announced they started construction on a new behind-the-scenes Savannah Barn as well as sprucing up the Savannah yard. Due to this, their Hartmann's mountain zebras and common ostriches will be transferred to an off-site facility until 2025.
