2 Spectacled Owl chicks were born to parents Rio and Isla back in August. The chicks have now fledged and are on display with their parents!
Slight correction, these are West Indian whistling ducks, an SSP managed species, there is a separate Asian species that is sometimes called the Indian whistling duck4 Indian Whistling Ducklings have hatched. They hatched back in September and will soon be on display at Flamingo Pond

A male Greater Kudu was born on March 14th to first time parents Rozi and Kronos.
if I recall hartmann's are slightly less baby murdery than grevy's and plains zebras so hopefully nothing to worry about, I believe they can also lock certain parts of the exhibit so they can lock out the zebras if they feel they may be an issue.wonder how he did meeting the zoo's herd of Hartmann's mountain zebras

sad to hear but understandableI actually found out that the Hartmann's mountain zebra herd wasn't getting along with the giraffes, greater kudu and ostriches anymore so they'll be going to a new zoo in the future. They're off exhibit now in one of the monorail habitats but I hope they'll enjoy their new home whichever zoo they end up going to
Maybe they might get a new herd of Hartmann's mountain zebras but who knows? Only time will tellI hope they can make a separate zebra exhibit in the next extension of Wilds of Africa
