ZooParc de Beauval Zooparc de Beauval news 2024

On Howtank forum/chat, some works have been reported behind the Chinese Zone and the Wolf/Bear enclosures. So they may be purposed for an Asian animal, that also fits to the theme of the clip... A primate species may be possible.
Considering that the bear wolf area is called the American region (with barely anything from North America) , what are the chances that the zoo is building an enclosure for raccoons, skunks and/or North American porcupines?

These species are of course pleasant but none of them is unique in Europe.
Otherwise I would like to see more North American species in Beauval : Skunks, Porcupines, Bisons, Moose/Elks, Wapitis, American Black and/or Polar Bears, Musk Oxen... but the direction hasn't express anything about it for many years.

Well considering that the unique species is mentioned alongside the Chinese zone, I was not suggesting that the unique species would have to do anything with regards to the wolf and bear area.

These are just guesses, but Golden snub-nosed monkey would fit the theme and its exclusivity.

It was already heard that Prague was working on its arrival and it may finally be Beauval who brings them, but as I say these are just guesses.

On Nov. 29th Beauval will receive the famous Senegalese ecologist Haïdar El Ali, who has restored many coastal and marine environments in his country.
His NGO "Océanium de Dakar" is supported by Beauval Nature.
The visit of Mr. El Ali has been postponed, because of health issues.

Otherwise, the Beauval Zoo mourns the death of the 44-year female Lowland Gorilla INGE (reported by Juliette on Howtank forum/chat, and by Chriss on her Facebook account, among others).

China will provide three Sichuan snub-nosed monkeys (one male and two females) to France

Great to hear it is confirmed. However, regarding the failed attempts of other western zoos and the fickle chinese authorities/politics, I just believe it when the monkeys have arrived at Beauval....

I do wonder, assuming this deal goes through, if Beuval would try to renew the agreement when the loan is over or if the management would just accept it and give the simians back to China. If the latter is the case then what’s going to happen to the enclosure?

Edit: is there a monetary fee for this loan?

The establishment of this project may be due to the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France.A similar situation can be seen in South Korea.
