Detroit Zoo Detroit Zoo News 2024

For anyone who has been to Detroit Zoo recently and is familiar with their birds: I've noticed that there are ~10 species in the free-flight aviary that remain unlisted in Zootierliste, based on USDA reports and recent species lists/updates on the forum. Is there doubt as to whether a lot of those birds are present, and would anyone who has seen them recently be willing to add them? It's common for a couple or few holdings to get left off, but this seemed like a high number for one building at a well-visited zoo.

For reference I'm referring to: the tanagers, the starlings, the Green Heron, the bulbul, the robin and the Oriole Warbler.
The warbler, heron and starlings are for sure still here. The tanagers and bulbul should are here (just never seen) and the robin I have never seen nor have I looked for. It has remained signed for the new signage (summer) along with the others.

Remainder of Year (Speculation):
• Polar Bear Cub / Cubs?
• Reveal of Lion
• Random Birth / Death

My Thoughts-
Overall phenomenal year, surprised by loss of binti, she seemed like a valuable female for Detroit. I’d expect to see another gorilla birth soon. Sad about Solair, hopefully we see a proper replacement, and renovation, it’s seems like a mess right now. Hopefully an even better year next year!

Also, I’d like to note that the squirrel monkeys are no longer listed but they were in 2023.
