Hope you can help , we have the old dudley zoo railway coaches with us at the Haigh woodland railway in wigan and would like to restore them to as they where
Does anybody have any photos of them at dudley and also any memories of the railway there , not much is written about the line or how it ran

I would suggest that you contact the zoo, I'm sure they will help, if they can

They've tried that and apparently the zoo have no information (usual reply from the zoo no matter what you ask them).
The carriages have been around a while at different places but the current holder is willing to restore them but would like help but as usual the zoo are reluctant to help.

Have you tried the education department at the zoo? They most probably hold the archives / have access to them (had them on display at a meeting I attended in 2023) and were enthusiastic about Dudley’s history then.
