possibly as a part of Karibuni extension?)
Hopefully they'll apply for them and get all of the bachelor gorillas out of Fasano...No questionmark needed, gorillas were in the first sketches of Karibuni all those years ago, as a part of the final phase (no.4 or something, pretty much 2035+), plans are everchanging of course but I still think if Zlín decides to go for gorillas again it will be in Karibuni.
The zoo wants to start building an exhibit for a new species - wombats. If everything goes according to plans, the construction works should start in September.

The Lion cubs have now access to the outdoor enclosure.
ZOO a zámek Zlín-Lešná on Instagram: "PRVNÍ KRŮČKY VE VELKÉM VÝBĚHU Čtyřměsíční mláďata lvů konžských již chodí do venkovního výběhu spolu s dospělými zvířaty - samcem Abamboo a samicí Kwale. A jak je vidět, lvíčata si prozkoumávání neznámého prostředí užívají s hravostí sobě vlastní. #zoo #zlin #zoozamekzlin #zlinskykraj #levkonzsky #mladata #lvicata #trojcata #vevybehu #Abamboo #Kwale #lvicentrum #vystavba #cihlicka #podpora #zoologicalgarden #katangalion #babyanimals #video #instavídeo"
No, at least for now.Any word on names for the cubs? I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere on socials.
I failed 3 times to see it in Prague....I can't miss it even in Zlin...I'll visit the zoo on April 19, so I think it will be visible for that dayCapuchinbird and toucanet in Yucatan pavilion, horned screamer in the aviary next to the giant anteater's inside dens, but not sure, if it was put on display, because of colder weather.
Were even storks, hornbills and kiwis off-show?@Andreaghido
Bear in mind, that in the time of your visit ( at Easter, weekend), the zoo will be totally overcrowded, which could spoil your experience, regardless of the fact, that there is no guarentee you will see many birds. These days almost all outside aviaries are emtied, with exception of Crowned eagle and Egyptian vulture.
