Zlín Zoo zoo Zlín

No questionmark needed, gorillas were in the first sketches of Karibuni all those years ago, as a part of the final phase (no.4 or something, pretty much 2035+), plans are everchanging of course but I still think if Zlín decides to go for gorillas again it will be in Karibuni.
Hopefully they'll apply for them and get all of the bachelor gorillas out of Fasano...

The zoo wants to start building an exhibit for a new species - wombats. If everything goes according to plans, the construction works should start in September.

That article also mentions some interesting 2024 hatched chicks that I think were not mentioned in ths thread yet:
- 5x Capuchinbirds (Perissocephalus tricolor)
- 1x Black-casqued hornbill (Ceratogymna atrata)

Capuchinbird and toucanet in Yucatan pavilion, horned screamer in the aviary next to the giant anteater's inside dens, but not sure, if it was put on display, because of colder weather.
I failed 3 times to see it in Prague....I can't miss it even in Zlin...I'll visit the zoo on April 19, so I think it will be visible for that day

@Andreaghido
Bear in mind, that in the time of your visit ( at Easter, weekendo_O ), the zoo will be totally overcrowded, which could spoil your experience, regardless of the fact, that there is no guarentee you will see many birds. These days almost all outside aviaries are emtied, with exception of Crowned eagle and Egyptian vulture.

Were even storks, hornbills and kiwis off-show?
