Uploading Photos on Posts

Hello,

I've been trying to upload photos from the gallery in forum posts for sometime, but every time I do I am met with a blank image icon. For example.

I am clicking on the image icon, inserting the URL, and then pressing "insert." Am I doing something wrong?

At the side of the photo (or below on a phone I think) is a section called Share This Media. Copy the third or fourth link - the ones with BB Code - and put that in your post. The first gives a full image, the second gives a thumbnail image.

Try it in this thread to see if you can work it out.
 
Another way to upload media onto the forums without uploading to the media (mind you, this doesn't work on some devices), is by dragging a file from your desktop onto the text, and if it is a supported file, it will most likely show up.

That's not what the OP was trying to do - they were trying to share an image already in the gallery into a forum post. That's quite a different exercise than simply attaching a new photo to a post.
 
I have been in this forum for a while and i dont really know how to upload your own media. Can somebody help.
