I've reportedly heard that 1.0 Bornean Orangutan, one half of a twin, will be arriving from Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens. Can anyone confirm if this is true?

Just to ask, does anyone knows where will the Tasmanian devils will be located at the zoo? @X213G has made a post at the LA zoo where it says that the animals are heading to the zoo, so curious to know where will they be located.

I think it should be the Night Safari, which currently has 0.3 tasmanian devils, instead of Singapore Zoo.

I do believe that they will probably go to the Night Safari. When I visited on 4th Jan, I asked the keeper if there was any info about them. She said that they were hoping to get one of 9 available boys, but it had not been settled who is going where yet. The GoFundMe by Aussie Ark says the zoos that they will be receiving them between December 2024 and March 2025, after the Devils complete quarantine in Tasmania.

I vaguely remember from an earlier Global WSMP for Orang Utans that several transfers including between Hong Kong and another S.E. Asian zoo were planned for the immediate future. I think this plan came out in 2024, but not sure and I have to check back when it was actually transmitted through SEAZA/EAZA aka others.

This is some decently old news but does anyone know what happened to the South African Ground Squirrel in the Rock Hyrax enclosure? The signboard for the little guy has actually been removed from the enclosure for a while so I have a slight feeling it might have passed.
She has passed on. She was very old.

Do mandai have plans to import more female giraffes I haven't seen a baby giraffe at Singapore Zoo for a long time.
A couple of small updates:
The Leopard exhibit has finally reopened after repairs (it sustained damage from a large fallen branch last year).
Panjang the Estuarine Crocodile has been moved (presumably to Rainforest Wild Asia). His former exhibit is currently empty.

Which subspecies will they now focus on (as they will be in EAZA so breeding up more hybrids for various subspecies nor hybrids already is going to be exceptable to species management!?
Rothschilds' aka Nubian giraffe (within the northern giraffe species complex) Giraffa camelopardalis camelopardalis now or South African (southern) giraffe Giraffa giraffa giraffa (they maintained some females of said species?
Doesn't look like there's plans to breed the giraffes for the time being which is why they're managing a bachelor herd

How many malayan tigers are moved to Rainforest Wild Asia? I heard that Sali and Arhaa are in same exhibit and in the other one is Sulong. Is that correct? And what about Suri?
