A 2-year-old female Sri Lankan leopard was moved to Singapore from Zoo Ostrava in late June. She was born at the zoo in 2022. Her twin brother already moved to Zoo d'Abruzzo in Italy last year.
European zoos are helping to expand the Sri Lankan leopard breeding population in zoos in Southeast Asia and Australia to increase the number of opportunities for future exchanges. Three Sri Lankan leopards are expected to leave Europe for these regions this year.
