They moved the malayan tiger pair (3 hectares exhibit now empty) and the Angola lions will move soon to an exhibit next to the new hotel, so more empty space. Another 3 hectares when the white tigers will be gone, that's planned.

To be fair seeing how almost every big French zoo is into building hotels this doesn’t sound unwarranted to me.
There is a market for this, many people like to sleep in a zoo now... Personnaly I think it costs a lot for what it is (you sleep most of the time and can't see animals in the dark). I went to a "matinale" at Parc des Félins some years ago, the park opened at 6h30 a.m, I liked it. I went to several "nocturnes" in different zoos too. When a zoo close at nightfall you can enjoy too, without spending so much money. But many people are eager to pay to sleep at the zoo, so why zoos shouldn't do it ?

Credit goes to Gavial. Quite interesting for PdF (or Lumingy as it is now called) to give up on a feline species. Especially when the park planned on having a northern area which the species could have been incorporated into.
Given how much they've spread about in recent years, especially within French collections, my money is on coyote!
The answer goes partly to polar bears, wolves, some else species and... maned wolves (strong source).
Is Parc des Felins ditching the whole "Felins" of it all and expanding their horizons to other carnivorans?
The presentation of some small species will be abandoned, but the big cats will remain. I don't yet have the details of the small species that will still be there, but the Canadian lynx have already left recently (and their enclosure is already under construction to accommodate other animals).

Big area dedicated to the north america (bears, wolves) is announced for this spring.
Several species do not appear in the map and its list : fishing cat, ocelot, Siberian lynx ?

Since last year there has been a group from the feline park and a group from the monkey park.
These are the bachelors (onky males), they are in the park for some years, but were visible only from the train, on the rear side of the cheetahs. Then, they moved last year near the mini farm.
