Speculative Zoo Species List Help

What are some arid-adapted (ish) Oceanian animals from the island areas of Polynesian, Micronesia, Melanesia, Tasmania, etc. I’m looking for animals that are in American captivity
I have 3 ideas for Tasmania but I don’t know if you have them in your Austrian section and the animals are the Short beaked echidna, Common Wombat and eastern grey kangaroo and these 3 mammals are found in US zoos.

What are some arid-adapted (ish) and temperature extremes Southeast Asian island endemics? I’m looking for animals that are in American captivity
The only ones I can think of at the moment is the Komodo dragon, the maleo and the Bali myna and there was another one that I could think of but it’s no longer in American captivity but it used to be however it is still found in the us but not in captivity but instead it’s found on ranches in Texas but i don’t know if you would consider that captivity and the animal is the Javan rusa and it’s a subspecies of sambar deer that is found on some of the islands of Indonesia like the islands of Java, Timor Leste, Sulawesi, Bali, Rinca, Komodo and the Moluccas islands along with some of the lowland parts of New Guinea.

All 3 of the species were what I had already. I was thinking about Javan Rusa but I feel like cervids aren't doing that well in the United States and importing them might be illegal these days. Anything else? I need help with the smaller animals (reptiles, amphibians, fish, inverts, indoor mammals, etc.)

Oh okay.

Are there any compatible birds with breeding maleos or breeding Bali mynas? I’m still looking for animals in general that follow the criteria still though

Imperial pigeons or fruit doves would work with Bali Myna and Maleo.
Maleos would work with all birds, that live in trees.
Bali Mynas would work with all birds, that are peaceful and have about the same size

What are some arid-adapted (ish) and temperature extreme south Madagascaran dry forest/spiny forest endemics? I’m looking for animals that are in American captivity and are lesser-known (not like a fossa or ring-tailed lemur)

I have 5 ideas and one of the ideas is the ring tailed Vontsira and it’s only found at the Bronx zoo and the second idea is one that is lesser known and it’s called the lesser hedgehog tenrec and it’s found in several zoos like the Maryland, Houston, National, Virginia, Oakland, Baton Rouge and Atlanta Zoos and the third idea is the Coquerel’s sifaka which is found in zoos like the Maryland, San Diego, Philadelphia and Bronx Zoos along with the duke Lemur center the fourth idea is the radiated tortoise which is found at the Houston, Atlanta, Brandywine, Fort Wayne, Columbus and the Bronx zoos and the fifth idea is a lesser known lemur when comparing it to the ring tailed lemur but it is a well known species of lemur but it’s not found in as many zoos as the ring tailed is and this lemur is the grey mouse lemur and it’s found at the Omaha and North Carolina zoos as well as Duke lemur center and the grey mouse lemur is a nocturnal species of lemur and it’s found in arid environments like the dry deciduous forests along the western coast of Madagascar and the spiny forests.

  • Zone 5
Giant Isopod Bathynomus giganteus
Japanese Spider Crab Macrocheira kaempferi
If you wanted to add some fish here, Japanese Pineconefish Monocentrus japonicus, Spotted Ratfish Hydrolagus colliei, Longspine Snipefish Macrorhamphosus scolopax and Big Roughy Gephyroberyx japonicus are thematically appropriate (and relatively commonly kept) options.

I am currently in the planning stages of a wetlands-themed complex; and I was just wondering if there were any species of freshwater fish native to the following regions that are present in captivity.

More specifically, I am looking for available fish from the Sundarbans, Everglades, and the Pantanal, respectively.

Additionally, for a separate complex, what are some available species of fish and invertebrates native to both the Arctic and Southern Oceans that are present in American captivity?

So far, all I have are the Arctic Shanny (Stichaeus punctatus) and Arctic Sculpin (Myoxocephalus scorpioides), but what are some other species that could I feasibly use?

For the Sunderbans, some fish include climbing perch, Pearse's Mudskipper, archerfish, square tail mullet, tarpon, and silver moonyfish
For the Everglades, there are several fish (I bet that most Everglades fish are held in captivity somewhere in Florida) but some notable ones include alligator gar, bowfin, Lepomis sp., etc.
Similar to the Everglades, the Pantanal has lots of common fish (most Amazon fish are from the Pantanal) such as Tambaqui, peacock bass, and red-bellied pirnaha

These animals are rare in captivity but hogchoker, giant Pacific octopus, Sea angels (clione limacina), arctic anemones, various sea stars, arctic char, arctic cod, etc. are from the general regions (if you stretch the area a bit)

  • What fish, rays, and sharks are compatible with green Sea turtle, king angelfish & yellow-tailed surgeonfish in the coral reefs of the Galapagos tank? I'm looking for animals in AZA captvity
  • What birds are compatible in a walkthrough aviary with Bananaquit Coereba flaveola, Cuban Grassquit Phonipara canora, and Grand Cayman Blue Iguana Cyclura lewisi with a sectioned off space for Western Santa Cruz Giant Tortoise Chelonoidis niger porteri? This is a Neotropical island aviary, filling in different niches from the Galapagos. I'm specifically, looking for Caribbean passerines (or passerine like birds) in AZA captivity

  • For the Galapagos tank, I only have Galápagos Shark Carcharhinus galapagensis, Green Sea Turtle Chelonia mydas, King Angelfish Holacanthus passer, Razor Surgeonfish Prionurus laticlavius, and Spotted Eagle Ray Aetobatus narinari right now
  • For the walkthrough aviary, I have Bananaquit Coereba flaveola, Crested Quail-Dove Geotrygon versicolor, Cuban Grassquit Phonipara canora, Grand Cayman Blue Iguana Cyclura lewisi, Julia Heliconian Dryas iulia, Monarch Danaus plexippus, Montserrat Oriole Icterus oberi, Western Santa Cruz Giant Tortoise Chelonoidis niger porteri (an enclosed area for them), and Zebra Longwing Heliconius charithonia so far

As I no longer need help for the things I asked before (I’m posting some of them soon ), I’m moving on to a different area (s). What are some specific species from the following places that are also in AZA zoos;
  • Islands of the “Southwest” - Channel Islands, Sea of Cortez Islands, and Revillagigedo Islands
  • Rapa Nui/Easter Island animal that can be housed outside. This would transition from Australia to South America (unless there is better alternatives)
  • Arid-adapted Andes animals
  • Desert animals from the coastal deserts of Baja California and California that can be housed outdoors

A few ideas for birds

You could add maybe Painted Buntings and Common Ground Doves too, if You want

Desert animals from the coastal deserts of Baja California and California that can be housed outdoors
You could make two aviaries, the first with California Quail, White-winged Dove, House Finch and Red Cardinal, the secound with Greater Roadrunner, Burrowing Owl and American Kestrel
Arid-adapted Andes animals
Andean Tinamous and Burrowing Parakeets were the only species, that I found, which is hold in AZA and is arid-adapted. I found Picazuro Pigeon, Eared Dove, Grey-hooded Parakeets, Hooded Siskin and Ultramarine Grosbreak too, but they aren‘t hold in AZA.
Revillagigedo Islands
Socorro Doves with Western Tanagers and House Finches could be possible
Channel Islands
Eurasian Oystercatchers, Ruffs, Garganys and European Starlings could be possible

Would Cape buffaloes, springbok and chacma baboons work on a South African savannah exhibit?
Not sure if you meant to post this in the Mixed Species Exhibit thread or not, but I'll give my help here.
From what I've been told about Cape Buffalo, they are a species that should not be mixed given their rather aggressive nature. As for the baboon/springbok combo... I've never heard of a baboon mixed exhibit (besides the relatively common combo of gelada and ibex), so I don't know if it would work or what the risks would be in such a mix.
