Whoops, late to starting this year's thread, but there really hasn't been too much news yet.

New to the zoo is one year old Louise the Yak, joining Mooshu, Moolan, Yak Cousteau, and Terriyaki. Louise has come from from Riverview Park. This brings the yaks to 0.5.

What might we see this year? We usually see the birth of a couple of reindeer and turkmenian markhor. If we are lucky, both pairs of red pandas will have offspring that survive. Perhaps they may get a couple of females for Chad the Blue-billed Curassow. There is a possibility of baby red roos if they decided to mix the mobs.

We are also likely to see Bear, the last of the grey wolves, pass. That may open up the wolf exhibit for a new pack, or a different species entirely. Daybreak the mini horse is pretty old too. Bizhew the lynx is getting up there.

As for what new species we may see? I doubt anything too exciting. I could be wrong! I hope I am wrong! But there isn't much wiggle room.
