North American Asian Wild Horse population list

It will be quite hard to find information about the one that was there since 2021. Tanganyika didn't respond to my emails for the snow leopard information. The only source is USDA. I will just exclude Tanganyika Wildlife park from my list.

It was reported present by USDA four months ago, which is in fact more recent than the latest studbook. I would also like to point out that while your reasoning is valid, Timbavati is in exactly the same boat. There is nothing proving the horses are there except trusting the studbook. Even the regulatory agency has not recorded them present in almost four years. I consider that rather questionable and am still trying to figure out anything - it is very unusual to not be able to confirm for an animal that large.

A new foal was born at the Bronx Zoo in February. This was announced on Facebook, with no other relevant information.

He died in 2017 at the Minnesota Zoo.
Interesting. Do you know when Aliana at the Minnesota Zoo died then?

And when did Wazi, Paisley, and Maksim move to The Wilds from Minnesota? Maksim moved a few years before the other two, but that's all I know.

Aliana passed away in 2020.
Wazi and Paisley moved to The Wilds in 2023. Maksim moved in 2024 to The Wilds.

Was there an individual at the Minnesota Zoo who passed away in mid 2022? And another who passed away earlier in 2022 or possibly in the second half of 2021?
I do not know why I didn't receive a notification for your message, so I didn't see it. Yes, there was an individual who passed away in mid-2022. I do not know her name. Then for the other one, I do not know.

A przewalski's wild horse (mistaken for a mule during sale) was sold at a kill pen and now resides at a ranch in Colorado. It is unknown how this individual got to be in this situation but quite concerning that this endangered species is starting to get into the wrong hands.

How on earth did I miss this when it was posted?

The animal in question is Shrek, whose plight I have covered here extensively.

The whole sell off from Canyon Colorado of (critically) endangered species was a complete charade ...! It just goes to show how commercialisation is not in the interest of endangered species and animals from CC that ended up in slaughterhouse or what is just plain ... unjudicial ... in my view.

What other species were sold off by Canyon Colorado besides the wild horses?
