That exhibit was not meant for a Pallas cat at all, glad they made the change.
Were the Pallas' cats in that exhibit after their Pallas cat Moose passed away earlier this year? That may have been used as a temporary home for Moose since there was only one cat in there when I went in December

The exhibit was empty whenever I went by it after Moose's passing. Likely it was meant to be holding for him.

In all fairness, the zoo has one nocturnal house so it would make sense to house them there. Regardless of them not being Australian animals.
Was told by a friend who has connections to the zoo that the python exhibit was indeed for Moose.

You never answered @Moebelle ’s question, which I do agree is a bit odd. I don’t see how this looks like an apartment complex. Instead, this is how modern zoos are evolving, which the new “cleaner” and “sleek” look.

Heavily disagree. Immersion is always something I've enjoyed in zoo settings given it doesn't take away from the exhibits themselves, which doesn't appear to be the case here. I see no issue with Columbus adding some flare!

Have you...looked at the concept art? A lot of the covered areas are viewing/animal shelters. The first yard "bath house" is either human restrooms or bird holding. The footage is older so there are legitimately zero conclusions you can draw from it. Not that hard to piece together
