That exhibit was not meant for a Pallas cat at all, glad they made the change. Also didn't know if is was said but a water monitor is on exhibit where the python was and the short lived pallas cat exhibit
Were the Pallas' cats in that exhibit after their Pallas cat Moose passed away earlier this year? That may have been used as a temporary home for Moose since there was only one cat in there when I went in DecemberThat exhibit was not meant for a Pallas cat at all, glad they made the change.
The exhibit was empty whenever I went by it after Moose's passing. Likely it was meant to be holding for him. Were the Pallas' cats in that exhibit after their Pallas cat Moose passed away earlier this year? In all fairness, the zoo has one nocturnal house so it would make sense to house them there. Regardless of them not being Australian animals. In the first exhibit in the nocturnal house there's a bushbaby with the kiwi which is very interesting because i thought Bushbabys live in Africa
Was told by a friend who has connections to the zoo that the python exhibit was indeed for Moose. The exhibit was empty whenever I went by it after Moose's passing. Likely it was meant to be holding for him.

Glad I postponed my visit from April to early June, so now I'll be able to see NA Trek!
My question still stands but with more questions now.Columbus Zoo to open North America Trek in May 2025
istagram post the first yard looked like a bath house with some covered area for barbeque.
this looks a little better. very heavy on the disney theming
Isn’t that a good thingvery heavy on the disney theming
Uh, no. Theme park-style immersion elements are best left in theme parks.Isn’t that a good thing![]()
Heavily disagree. Immersion is always something I've enjoyed in zoo settings given it doesn't take away from the exhibits themselves, which doesn't appear to be the case here. I see no issue with Columbus adding some flare!Uh, no. Theme park-style immersion elements are best left in theme parks.
Have you...looked at the concept art? A lot of the covered areas are viewing/animal shelters. The first yard "bath house" is either human restrooms or bird holding. The footage is older so there are legitimately zero conclusions you can draw from it. Not that hard to piece togetherColumbus Zoo to open North America Trek in May 2025
