On July 11th, it was announced that a meerkat was born on March 28th*.

* I don't know why San Francisco's document is referencing this and not the official media or news press, maybe it was transferred to California, though that is me speculating.
On September 5th, the zoo announced that 2 more meerkats were born sometime in spring, which are off-show. The zoo also announced that the Small Animal Kingdom building will reopen October.

On September 9th, the zoo announced they acquired a male (1.0) Nepalese red panda named Twix from Idaho Falls Zoo in Idaho in August temporarily, to be transferred to a different facility in the future.

This penguin has been paired with Daisy, who was hatched a few years ago by Jimmy (1.0) and Rose (0.1). I don't have a source, but it was explained to me by a zookeeper there.On November 21st, the zoo announced they acquired a (1m.0) Magellanic penguin named Duke, which is now on exhibit.
