I believe the sisters Kiara and Surami should be the other way round. As the female tiger at Burgers' Zoo is called Kiara.

I have the real story (from someone of the Bioparc Doue la Fontaine) :
"It was Kiara who was supposed to go to Praha in june 2010, and it was Kiara who stayed! So they received Surami thinking it was Kiara... and then she went to Arnhem in march 2016"

About four weeks ago, two Sumatran tigers were born at Sóstó Zoo. They are two males. Parents are Gio and Sabah.

Shepreth - female, Ratna has died. She was 21 years old (born at Dublin Zoo in June 2003) and previously lived at Chessington before retiring to Shepreth in 2019

Shepreth still have 0.1 at present (Ratna's daughter, Kelabu)

Birth; 0,0,3 born on 17/01/25 at West Midlands Safari Park to Douga and Nakal, this is the second litter for the park.

This brings the number of Sumatran tigers at West Midlands Safari Park to seven, Douga, Nakal, Lestari, Hujan and the three new cubs.

The 2-year-old Sumatran tiger brothers Zac and Crispin at London Zoo will be moving to other zoos this spring. Zac will move to Zoo Maubeuge in France and Crispin will move to Zoo Rheine in Germany.

The press release says that the previous offspring Rimba and Raja moved away from Frankfurt last October. Does anyone have an idea regarding their destination?

The zoo published a video last Autumn explaining Raja and Rimba had been moved off display (to the exhibit where the Lions were temporarily housed during the recent building work). If they have since left Frankfurt then it's only recently happened

Ah okay... the text says that the two moved out of the cat jungle - so this means they could still be in Frankfurt behind the scenes.

Kubu was born at The Big Cat Sanctuary in August 2011 (Nias X Puna).

Thrigby has recently renovated the enclosure and built a new house - so I would expect them to receive new individuals at some point

Ah okay... the text says that the two moved out of the cat jungle - so this means they could still be in Frankfurt behind the scenes.

They for sure still are in Frankfurt, can be seen in a rather small side enclosure. Their zoo magazine from January says that they will be leaving to other zoos soon.

It has been confirmed that Thrigby expect to receive 1.1 (a potential breeding) pair of Sumatran's before the end of 2025. A male will arrive first, followed by the female at some point in the Autumn or Winter.

Woodside is a new holder for Sumatran Tiger's.

Nila was born at Chester in October 2011 and lived at Le PAL for several years before being moved to Reynou as a companion for her brother.

Nila is due to arrive at Woodside (now known as Lincoln Zoo) on Tuesday. They are a new EEP holder for Sumatran Tiger's

Chester - Alif and Raya (born Jan 2023) have been moved to Zoo Lodz (Poland). Lodz is a new holder for Sumatran Tiger's

Frankfurt - the twins born in February (Emas X Cinta) have been sexed as 1.1. The male cub has been named Mandala, whilst his sister will be known as Rasmi
