Addison, a three-year-old female, comes from North Carolina Zoo, while Mzuzi, a four-year-old male, comes from Oakland Zoo. Per the recommendation of the Species Survival Plan, the addition of Addison and Mzuzi will enable a more natural social dynamic within the Zoo's troop. The pair were introduced to Ana and Moja this morning in the habitat. As the baboons get comfortable with their new surroundings and each other, viewing may be limited. The baboons may also exhibit new behaviors such as vocalizing and possibly aggression. Our keepers are closely monitoring the introductions and will intervene if necessary. | Phoenix Zoo
