West Midland Safari and Leisure Park West Midlands Safari Park news 2025

The complication was that it was a breech birth at which they successfully assisted with calving ropes on the back legs. Tricky situation

Yeah, was reading their page on the whole thing. Apparently when that happens, the calf often dies sadly.

But just thankful it didn't end in either of them passing away.

2 questions. do we know whats going in the drive thru bit where the white lions where

aldo do we know if the tiger cubs have moved in with dad and sister yet and if so hows it going please

I haven't visited the collection before and am thinking of a trip...I am not the greatest fan of car safari park viewing though it does offer impressive views at lots of places and I will of course drive around. I do like to take my time though if I can and know WMSP have a walking trail so wondered how much of the collection can be seen on foot?

Unusual to see more Asian species than African ones in a safari section of a zoo.

The lion pride has grown again!

Our baby boom continues as THREE adorable lion cubs have been born at the Park!

Meet Nero, Nox and Nancy - two boys and a girl - born on 13th April to proud mum Amber, who’s doing an amazing job

They’re full of energy, love climbing all over Mum, and are growing fast! While they’re not out on the Safari Drive just yet, we hope they’ll be making their grand debut soon, after their next health check.

Lions are classed as ‘vulnerable’ in the wild, so every birth is super special. Stay tuned for more cub-dates!

Does make you wonder why they allowed Amber to breed again(unless she was caught by accident) when they still have Amber's 3 sons from 2019(albeit they are in a seperate pride now).

This may be a no hoper but was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction as to where I could get a list of ALL the dinosaurs and Ice age models they have had at the collection.
I have tried to contact the collection asking for help all I get is it as been passed on they will get in touch shortly but never do.

I know the rule is now only one go on the drive safari but is their actually anything stopping you from going around again?

Yes sadly. Routing now takes you back through entry booths for scanning etc.

Think you could technically loop round again if you rejoined the circuit just after leaving the giraffe hardstanding area, but once you’ve left the drive through itself you are sunk I’m afraid.

seems a ludicrous rule outside of peak peak times to me. Can’t imagine the percentage of visitors performing more than one circuit was that high.

Can understand it from a financial perspective as they want to clear as many guests through as they can and get them out of their cars and spending on eateries, games and rides etc

Worth noting also, if you are planning a visit that there is a promotion on with combi tickets with Drayton manor I saw advertised on Facebook :)

Seems a bad/mean idea to me too, though I guess the highest % of visitors only want to do a single circuit anyway and then head to all the other 'attractions'. But for more interested parties its indeed a sad implementation and unnecessary I feel, but then I'm somebody who would want to go round again.
