Does anyone else think it's only a matter of time until the Florida and Texas pods are combined at one park?

I've long thought about this - and yes, I do.
I've always thought Texas will be the first park to go out of orcas, and it does seem like it's ticking that way. Orlando has the bigger facility so I'd assume in the event the two pods are combined, the remaining Texas whales will make their way down to Orlando.

I agree. It makes the most sense. And SWT would have their own bottle nose dolphin show.
They would then move the bottlenose dolphins to Shamu stadium, since SWT doesn’t have a bottle-nose dolphin show. Or they would do a switch and move the Belugas / PWSD to Shamu, and the Bottle-nose would move to beluga stadium.
As long as San Antonio still have four whales though, I honestly don't think any move will be made. In the event another whale passes (especially if it's one other girls), I'd imagine there would begin to be consideration towards sending them to the Orlando park.
Absolutely - Orlando have held that many adult males in the past, and they have four pools (not counting the show pool) in total to hold a variety of groupings.

When was the last time Orlando had 4 adult males at the same time?
And I wouldn't count the med pool as a pool (I assume thats what you mean, since Orlando has the show pool, 2 backstage pools, the underwater viewing pool, and the med pool).
San Diego had held 4 adult males recently, not Orlando. But Orlando's facilities are overall larger.
I didn't count the medical pool (of which Orlando actually has two). Orlando also have a large pool (Pool E), so essentially 7 pools in total.

What’s wrong with Katina I know she’s got some Kastaka sort of discoloration but other than that she seems to be doing fine and she’s still jumping high?

Just adding to this to give some context - whatever it is Katina is or isn't dealing with, it's not anything that is keeping her out of the public eye or out of commission.
I just went on Monday and saw her and the other two girls. Katina was actually used in two of the day's three shows: the noon showing was a rare treat, as they did the normally-cut hunt segment. In this section, she did fast swims [high energy behavior that I'm sure she would not have been sent on if she was severely ill], as well as a high jump in the center of the pool before some side-swipes and regular splashes.
In the day's final show at 8:15, she was again used in the finale segement, with an albeit smaller role with just splashes before being sent out early for Malia and Nalani to finish the show. Katina does appear to have some kind of skin condition, and anyone can see that. But keep in mind that she is ~50 years old, and it isn't unusual to see some age-related issues come up.
I would be very careful what you say in this thread about animals that are already under intense public scrutiny. People will read this thread and run with what you say, especially about Orlando's whales.
Whatever Katina may be dealing with behind the scenes, we will never truly know, therefore, we must be responsible about what we specualte and say. In all public-facing ways, Katina is well enough to continue to not just participate in presentations, but to exercise high-energy behaviors. These are not signs of a "very sick" animal.
Interesting to hear; especially following our recent discussion re. this recently. Is there a source for this?
To be honest, I don't know how either of the aforementioned facilities would be able to accommodate the whales (if both scenarios were to happen). The facilities would be quite crowded, even if it just was to be a combination of both the SWT and the SWF whales at one facility (likely Orlando).

While that would doubtlessly be an improvement on Wikie and Keijo's living situation, I'm highly doubtful that SeaWorld would ever want to wade through the sheer amount of governmental red tape and animal rights activist shenanigans that would be required to make that happen.
Can you please share the source of this information?
I have also read something about it... They are saying France government is requesting SeaWorld to take them as Spain doesn't remove the block but I can't find any actual source for this so I'm not sure about it, if anyone can share some links I would LOVE to read it.
Even if it is true I don't think SeaWorld would ever accept it, for sure it would be the ideal scenario here but I don't think they want to deal with the huge polemic that would come out from this (the complains would be from brainless people that has not think for a minute about the situation but still lot of people out there are currently ignoring the entire issue with Wikie and Keijo and still make comments about it)
