Wow, still one of the most impressive hornbill collections and I remember how dedicated the female Bird Curator/Vet was with her senior keeper staff at the hornbill exhibits at Jurong when doing a presentation. I am glad they have remained a mainstay of the new presentators and exhibits at Bird Paradise!!!!

I think I also forgot our Southern Rufous Hornbill (1.0) on the list, that + the single Knobbed Female we have makes 24 Hornbills within our collection.
 
Apologies if this is off topic but on my visit on June 25, I saw this wild weaver nesting close to either the exit of Heart of Africa or the Philippine eagle exhibit. this is a sunbird's nest; im guessing it's an Ornate since they're the most commonly sighted species. weaver nests are bigger and more complex.
 
I agree that it is definitely a sunbird. Weavers often have much "neater" nests (see photo). However, I don't think it is a ornate sunbird; it doesn't look yellow enough, though it could just be the lighting. To me, it looks more like a female crimson sunbird, as it looks rather drab. Additionally, Crimson sunbirds seem to be fairly common around Mandai in my experience.
