are they both females?
From what I have heard, yes
are they both females?
Exactly how is the hyena in the show? Surely it is not housed free contact?Went to the Creatures of the Night show on 22 May and saw these animals:
Buffy Fish Owl
Eurasian Eagle Owl
Northern Luzon Slender-tailed Cloud Rat
Racoon Dog
Serval
Spotted Hyena
Binturong
Indian Crested Porcupine

So they are simply released into a sort of exhibit area for a short alum of time, then called back? With no keepers present in the area? The Hyenas (1.1) have a new section in the show, serving as the final animal after the Raccoon. They appear from the same area as the Marbled Fox, taking some food from the pile of wood before heading back.
I'm sure they've got some special way to handle them too, since the walkie talkies have their own mentions on releasing them for show and keeping them back in the dens.

That makes sense. I had always wondered about that, thanks for clearing it up.Pretty much yeah. But less exhibit area, more like a stairway that eventually leads to the top of the stage. Keepers are never in sight during the Hyena section except for the presenters "hiding"
Does the show rotate some of the animals? I didn't see the hyenas and serval few days ago.
I can confirm that Singapore Zoo only maintains 0.2 Eastern Mountain bongo. From what I have heard, yes

(Antipodes people take note!)
Which of the anteaters is housed in Night Safari?
Haha always use anteaters just for giant anteaters never tamanduas. So far, I've found these for Mandai's giant anteatersYou talking species or names? Species be the Giant and Tamandua.
For name, I only know Tina for the Tamandua, but unsure on the Giants. As far as I'm aware the 2 in the exhibit are females
Does anyone know what other animals are currently in the flying fox aviary at Leopard Trail? All other signage was removed but I saw 2 Malayan box turtles inside
The Night Safari does not have any African Civets and probably never will.According to Zootierliste, it claims that Night Safari has African civets. Is this true?
As as preperation to my upcoming first visit, I've been trying to construct a full species list of the Night Safari, broken down per section. For this I used Zootierliste, the official website, the zoos' map and the zoochat Gallery / threads.
This is what I've found. Please let me know if you have corrections, additions or removals.
