To add to this, I believe hyenas and warthogs are usually in this area before and after the cheetah runs. Cheetahs are only in it for the runs, and I believe the aardvarks are during a keeper talk right before the second cheetah run of the day. They show off the aardvarks in the watering hole, along with a hornbill that also flies over guests on the boardwalk. This is how it used to be anyway.

As of last summer/fall a few Cheetahs did spend time in the watering hole outside of the cheetah run times. I've seen the aardvarks outside of the keeper talks as well. Not sure if this is still the case this year though.
 
I was at Columbus today and at the watering hole during the Cheetah Run, the keepers only mentioned warthogs, hyenas and cheetah as rotating through the exhibit. No mention of aardvark.

Keepers said Hyena were out that morning and also made it sounded like warthogs were in the exhibit just before the run. I only was there for the run as I see all those species plenty and didn't prioritize doubling back to the area later, so can't say what was there in the afternoon.

Worth noting that this was my first time to Columbus, so by no means a local with a run of knowledge of what usually happens in the exhibit. Just providing the info I have from my visit today.
 
It was revealed in Zoo Tours' new video that 1.0 Asian small clawed otter Flounder was moved to Cincinnati for their new Otter exhibit.

Today I visited the entire zoo and logged every species they had available, and as requested here is the NA Aviary, I asked some of the staff for a timeline and they said that unfortunately there is not one yet, but it appears complete and the Swans have been fully moved in. The rest of the birds remain in the old aviary. As for the Siamang/Gibbon building, it is still blocked off and under construction, however it appears to be complete from the outside

For anyone curious the Animal Encounters Village Roster at 10-11am was Serval, Laughing Kookaburra, Northern Ground Hornbill, Red Ruffed Lemur, Capybara, Leopard Tortoise, Striped Skunk, Garnett's Greater Galago, Domestic Duck, Southern Three-Banded Armadillo, Sand Cat, Virginia Opossum, Large Hairy Armadillo

Is there a full list of all the species that rotate in and out of AEV?
