Not family but the treatment of the orders is rather confusing considering how many basal level splits there are in Caprimulgiformes, I think treating them as the 'nightjar family/order' with Strisores (hummingbirds & swifts) lumped in honestly isn't the worst treatment but I feel it's more a matter of personal opinion.
Of course calling frogmouths nightjars is just straight up wrong lol
That’s what I meant i.e. Tawny Frogmouths are in the Podargidae family while nightjars are in the Caprimulgidae family. But oftentimes, I hear people say that Tawny Frogmouths are in the same family as nightjars!
