The 6-year-old female Carrie will be leaving Paignton Zoo in the coming months, after which a suitable partner for Dao will be sought.

Heidelberg - 1.0 Tebo has been put down to sleep at the beginning of September in the age of 16. The reason was stiffening of his knee and kidney failure. Leaving Karis alone, she's searching him still and misses Tebo dearly. Since 2018, they've had 5 cubs together in 3 litters.

Was the pairing there in Edinburgh just not suitable? I remember years ago it being on TV I think it was that they were supposed to be a breeding pair.
They were intended to be a breeding pair. Introductions took place but no cubs have yet resulted.
After several years it's normal for the EEP to intervene and suggest transfers and different breeding opportunities for both of them.
